Nouveau Lux

Since my Friday the 13th "Lady Lux" piece, I have been wanting to feature Lux in another one of my pieces. I didn't feel that that piece did her justice, so I started planning a proper pin up style piece of Lux from League of Legends which didn't look like a seedy tattoo.

I wanted to keep Lux looking soft, doll like and innocent, but I also wished to portray her powers of light and prismatic energy. I am also a huge fan of Art Nouveau and wanted to try my hand at that sort of design. So I decided to merge the two into this one singular piece.

I worked rather quickly once I realized what i wanted to do, filling out the figure and the fact and hair last Thursday, finishing off the body on Friday and Monday of this week, and did the whole of the background today.

I'm really quite pleased with how this came out, the composition and the Nouveau style I find really exciting and hope to do much more in this style.

I hope that Lux is more identifiable in her basic armor outfit, and hope that one day I can see this piece painted, I think the riot of rainbow prisms could make the piece truly pop.

Anyway I hope others like this as much as I do.
